This is Radiosporting. This contest is supposed to a be a Roundup of RTTY
folks. People often want to make it into a SS it isn't and it wasn't
intended to be. It was modeled on the Novice Roundup. Its inclusive not
exclusive. Europe, Australia, New Zealand all have rich RTTY traditions.
That's why they and the entire world is included.
I'm afraid that people are becoming confused. First of all the off-time
rule only applies really to people who are working or trying to work the 24
hours out of 30.
Feel free to take a lunch, take a dinner, take a breakfast. Go to the
daughters or granddaughters function. You can even go to work and also
sleep for 8 hours. You are working the contest the rate is just low, very
low.
Just mark 6 hours as a break the rest is opeating time. People even win
wallpaper putting in 16 hours out of the 30.
