I do a LOT of 30 meters, cw and digital.
The band is open to somewhere almost all the time.
Totally underutilized.
The problem with digital is that most countries are restricted to above 
10140.
and the commercial digital signals take over above 10145.
And that PSK beacon covers many stations.
Unfortunately that robot beacon responds when it hears a signal and causes a 
lot of qrm.

But...many many good openings on 30, just tough to fit in that narrow 
useable portion/
