Does anyone want to try a meteor-scatter RTTY QSO on six meters?
According to the ARRL article at:
http://www.arrl.org/news/dark-time-is-the-right-time-for-the-perseids
August 13 around 0100 UTC +/- a few hours should be prime time for the
Perseid shower. That is later on today, local time in the USA.
The article says: "Meteor scatter operation is particularly easy on 6
meters where 100 W and an omnidirectional antenna will do the job."
I've never made a meteor-scatter QSO or even heard one so this will be
a new experience. I'll be listening and calling CQ on 50.300. Will try
both 45 and 75 baud. Will use a very short macro: CQ W6WRT.
Hope to see you then.
73, Bill W6WRT
