I had a lot of fun in this one, but too many interruptions. I had some
repair work on my place that needed to be done, and my son-in-law who was
supposed to show up in the morning to do the job, didn't show up until
midway into the contest. Oh well, at least he showed up, so I guess I
should count my blessings. :)
Had no trouble copying K9MUG/4, or anybody else, except when I got clobbered
by QRM. I sure would love to see 75 baud become the standard speed. I know
somw stations had problems with setting up their software for that speed,
but all I did was set DECODE in the Writelog MMTTY Plug-in to 75 baud and it
worked flawlessly.
Like Don, AA5AU, I am anxiously awaiting next weekend. This weekend my XYL
was in Las Vegas with our daughter & daughter-in-law, so I could play
contest allby my lonesome. I tried to get her to change the date to next
weekend, but they refused to listen to that suggestion.
Thanks to all who gave me a contact. I only made 71, but considering the
interruptions, I'm happy with that.
73,
Dick - W0RAA
