Not convinced that it was CQ WW SSB that caused the issue but it
certainly brought problems to light. One of the fellows on LOTW Yahoo
Group started going through the processing times of his logs over the
past year and he believes the ability of the system to process logs
started to drop back in March. If that's true and it was after the big
contests, we wouldn't have likely noticed until CQ WW SSB.
Yes, it's slow, and no, there is no information from HQ about proposed
fixes or even a root cause. Remember, LOTW system administration
falls under the same tiny group that helps the senior staff find their
deleted mail and that keeps toner in the printers, so adjust your
expectations accordingly.
