[RTTY] FT857 on RTTY Problem

I'm trying to get my FT857 on RTTY using the HAL DXP38. I wired a new data
cable, but I can't get audio into the DXP38 using either 1200 or 9600 baud
settings on COM1. I set the FT857 for RTTY-L and 170 offset, but I don't see
any other critical menu settings to configure RTTY. Help!
