Thanks Tom - yes, I heard the JA crowd is very active with this W1AW
Centennial. 160M ! WOW ! I'll probably start on the high bands and then on
other days go down to 40M. I have nothing resonant on 30M - using the 40M
beams. I can do 80M too if desired.

After completing W1AW/8 in Michigan, my advice is to use split, especially
on 10 meters, if beaming Japan.  I tried simplex, but with 100 JAs all
calling on freq, stacking was impossible!

I worked 102 JAs in an hour using split.  I never used more than a 2-5 split
range.  These 2-20 splits are ridiculous!

I also used RTTY on 160 and 30.  No split was needed there.

I had a total of 1102 RTTY contacts last week.  Have fun!
