Would that include a Spectrum Scope that does not decode the data?

It is when you have a program like Fldigi or the SuperSweeper part of
DM780 (Part of HRD) with a waterfall that decodes all of the signals
within the bandpass. IOW, you can see all of the RTTY signals (or
whatever mode you happen to be using) all at the same time. To be
truly un-assisted, you have to search for each signal without any such
visual assistance.
Clear as mud, eh?

Subject: [RTTY] RU Rule Question
According to the rule for SO UN-ASSISTED:
3.1. Single Operator: The use of spotting assistance or automated,
multi-channel decoders is not permitted.
So what is the definition of an automated,multi-channel decoder ?
Thanks
