Even simpler is an SDR (Software Defined Radio) such as the FlexRadio
6000 series. The only cable required is an Ethernet cable from radio
to computer. No other cables at all. Everything is done over the
Ethernet. Can't beat it for simplicity, and it has the look and feel
of true FSK - the frequency readout is the MARK frequency, just like
FSK, no math required. You can choose any tome pair you want and
receiver bandwidth is continuously adjustable from way too narrow to
way too wide and everything in between.
Nice!
