Dear diddlers,
It has come to light that in the preparation of the rules for the sprint
there has been some cross contamination with the HF rule set which is also
being revised. The problem is that the class MM was introduced when it was
not intended to be so and also the multipliers were the HF contest system
not the old sprint system.
The change to the rules was designed not to require any change to existing
logging programmes. Please note that the contest will be adjudicated
according to the following multiplier rules:-
"All DXCC countries and JA, W, VE and VK areas count as multipliers.
Multipliers
and continents count only once in the contest regardless of band. U.S.
stations must use correct call or
suffix for area of operation as this is used as a multiplier.
Continents count as a multiplier but only count once. A maximum of 6
continent multipliers is allowed."
My sincere apologies if this has caused anyone concern when they have
submitted their log to our robot.
