Greetings Diddlers:

Last week was a solid double digit turnout, with most of the stations part of
our regular crew. K7SV was back in fine style after his CW training
responsibilities, and KC2WUF was back after taking some time off.

At this point there should only be one thing on your mind: The Real RTTY
Sprint! This weekend! No time to relax!

OK, I’ll cut the drama. But instead of a mere 30 minutes of Sprinting bliss
you get a whole 4 hours. Mr. Sun does not appear to be very excited about the
Sprint, but we only have 3 bands to worry about so we’ll work with what we’re
given.

In case you have not checked the schedule: 11 Mar 2018, 0000Z – 0400Z . That’s
Saturday evening local time, adjusted accordingly for your time zone.

In addition to our usual Thursday evening session, there will also be a
practice session on Friday evening (local time): 10 Mar 2018, 0200Z – 0230Z.
So two chances to get everything just right.

And a heads up: Daylight savings time changes this Sunday morning. So NS
start times will be changing for most of us.

Here are the details for our usual Thursday evening session:
Friday,   9 Mar 2018, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday, 8 Mar 2018 in NA)
-- 1745 - 1815 PST
-- 2045 - 2115 EST
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up
-- 80/40/20/15/10 +80kHz up from the band edge  (time to start checking 20m at
the start)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q or band change.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band
-- 100W power limit

For something new (and exciting?), give the live scoreboard a try at
https://contestonlinescore.com .  Set up your logger to report and select the
NCCC NA RTTY SPRINT on the web page to display the scores.  The Help menu
pulldown will give you the info needed to setup the most common logging
programs.

Don’t forget to report your score to 3830scores.com, and join us at 0300Z on
3610 kHz (+/- a few for ongoing groups) for comments and questions (and dinner
menus).

Diddle diddle,

Ken K6MR
