The UBA Contest takes place from 1300 UTC on Saturday 24th
to 1259 UTC Sunday 25th February. It's a CW-only event
on the 5 contest bands from 80 - 10m. There are single and
all-band options for both HP and LP (100w).

Rules at www.uba.be/hf_contests/rules/ubatestworld_en.html

SDU is dedicated to the UBA contest. It supports SO entries
in this event and is specifically recommended in the rules.
Note: SD does not support the UBA Contest.

SDU V13.14 gives the correct scoring for the new EU member
states (LZ and YO). It runs on any Windows PC and is free
from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdusetup.exe

ON entrants - select SDU Type 1
DX entrants - select SDU Type 2

QSOs with Belgian stations score 10 points,
with EU Member State stations 3 points
     other stations 1 point

EU Members states work everyone, others work EU only.
Exchange 5NN and Serial. ON stations add their province
abbreviation. SDU lets you log serial and province in a
single field. For example 3WV (Enter) will be expanded
to 003 WV in their respective fields.

Multipliers include some DXCC countries that are in the
European Union but are not in continental Europe. If you
use another logger, you may not be aware of potential
multipliers.

A single QSO with a Belgian station may count as two
multipliers - both prefix and province.

After the contest, use SDCHECK to create your .LOG file
in Cabrillo format. Rename it to YOURCALL.CBR and email
it, as an attached file, to ubacw@uba.be.

73,
Paul EI5DI
