Just in case anyone has forgotten, the IOTA Contest
takes place from 12:00 UTC Saturday 28th July to
11:59 UTC Sunday 29th.

Rules at www.contesting.co.uk/hfcc/rules/riota.shtml

You should use SDI for this event - it's not supported
by SD. SDI V13.25 runs on any Windows PC and is free
from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdisetup.exe.

You can work everyone on the five contest bands from
80m to 10m. Exchange 59(9) + serial. Island stations
also send their IOTA reference and, in general, are
worth 5 times as many points as non-island stations.
This means, for example, it's better to work 35 island
stations per hour than others at 150 per hour.

I've made up an IOTA reference file, IOTA07.LST,
listing Callsigns and IOTA references for announced
island operations. If you use the LOAD command to
load IOTA07, SDI will auto-fill IOTA references on
a callsign match. You can get this from
www.ei5di.com/sd/iota07.zip. If you normally LOAD
your own .LST file, add the contents of IOTA07.LST
to your file - before the contest.

After the contest, use SDICHECK (included with SDI)
to prepare your Cabrillo .LOG file. Email it, as an
attached file, to iota.logs@rsgbhfcc.org.

Please mention SDI in your Cabrillo soapbox comments.

73,
Paul EI5DI
