The CQWW DX Contest takes place from 00:00 UTC Saturday
27th November to 23:59 UTC Sunday 28th November on the 6
contest bands from 10-160m. It is CW-only.

Rules at www.cqww.com/CQWW-Rules-2010.PDF

SD V15.23 supports this event - www.ei5di.com

    Select the "CQWW" template.

Work everyone, exchange CQ Zone.

Mults are CQ countries and zones by band, and QSOs
count one point for own continent, and 3 points for
other continents. Own-country QSOs may count for
zone or country multipliers, but not for points.

After the contest, use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo
.LOG file, and send it to cw@cqww.com. Please mention
SD in your Cabrillo soapbox comments, as this encourages
others to try it.

Note that all that matters in this contest is that you
get callsigns correct - and penalties are applied for
callsign errors. The exchange has no significance
other than to allow you to track your zone mults. The
organisers discard all exchanges (reports and zones)
and rescore all logs based on their understanding of
the correct zone and country for each callsign. There
is little or no point in ever "correcting" zones;
accept the default zones pre-filled by SD and get on
with the next QSO.

Have a look at my log at www.cqww.com/cq-ww-cw-2009.htm
There are 4 deliberate errors in every QSO, but no
points were deducted, though I did lose points for
callsign errors.

73,
Paul EI5DI
