It is a reference number for the latest CTY.DAT file,

always used this as the basis for updating SD's CTY
files.
I don't update these files as often as Jim AD1C updates
CTY.DAT, but make a point of doing it before relevant
major contests, and I often omit calls that have no
relevance to contesting - for example, you are unlikely
to meet GB2SPD (St. Patrick's Day) in any contest.
The difference is that Jim is now posting update
information directly to this mailing list. If an
entry is urgent, for whatever reason, SD users may
edit their .CTY files directly.
