This may be a rig-control issue between the 1000MP and SD. The way to
find out is to disable rig-control before starting SD. Edit SD.INI to
set the SD_RIGPORT parameter to zero. Save the change and then run SD.
At what stage did SD freeze - was it at the logging screen, or earlier?
