We now have a working 1200 bps access port on Sawnee Mtn. It is on 145.09
MHz.
You use the same connect sequence as you would on 145.01 MHz which is:
1. c sawnee
2. wait for the alphabet soup
3. c ax1 ks4q
4. work some DX
If anyone is able to use it, let me know how it works for you.
If you have a KPC-2400, it is 1200 bps capable. you enter the command:
HBAUD 1200 and follow it with PERM Of course MFJ-1270 TNCs are 1200
bps capable as well. Even with propagation as poor as it is tonight, we
still have 60+ spots per hour coming through from 223 nodes and 515 users.
Regards, Ernie KS4Q
