Comments:
First CQP. Missed the first 11 hours (NoGA QRP monthly club meeting and sleep).
Then had to stop reluctantly at 0730z to head in to work while 40M was doing
great. Returned home at 1115z but didn't hear any activity until after 1300z.
Also tried 160M & 80M but no takers for my QRP sigs. Both bands were very noisy,
the worst I have ever heard it at this QTH.
Thanks to the non-California stations who waited patiently while California
stations were trying to verify the "county" info from me. Many stations assumed
I was a California station because of my W6 callsign.
Propagation went goofy around 1900-2040z on all HF bands. Used that time to grab
a late lunch.
Station: Yaesu FT-817 QRP xcvr, 5 watts to an OCF 28-ga insulated stealth wire
antenna up 40 feet in heavy foliage trees next to I-75 in downtown Atlanta
industrial area.
