Attention all GA Hams (especially SECC):
From the lush tropical "DX" locale of Orange Beach, Alabama, KB4KBS will
activate his KENWOOD TS-160 on 20, 15, and 10 meters. Look for him to fire
up the rig either from his vehicle, parked at Gulf State Park, or from the
end of a 200 yd. long pier reaching out into the Gulf of Mexico. Although
in both cases he plans to be on shore power, his antenna will be a Hustler
Mobile Mast MM-2 with the appropriate resonators and a tuner. Although
optimistic, he's afraid he'll be more of an elephant that an alligator
(hears well, can't be heard).
His goal is to work 80 GA counties (50%) during the first 10 hours of the
contest. He will be SOLPAB-SSB only. Please listen for a faint voice
crying CQ GQP, trying to be heard above the crash of the waves against the
beautiful sugar white sands, and the squeals of little children playing in
the surf.
Good Luck to All,
Scott
