Finally, once I learned to send left-handed, I was surprised to discover I
could also send right-handed (mirror-image), although not quite as well.

Due to serious arthritis in my right hand, it is necessary that I send left
handed (I am left handed) some of the time. Back in the days of contesting
with a pencil log and dupe sheets, I learned to send right handed so I could
simultaneously write with my left hand. I still prefer to send right handed.

Originally, I found it easy to switch hands by turning the paddle upside
down (providing the mirror image). Now I have two paddles connected in a Y
configuration. One on each side of the rig and switch back and forth at will.

The point is, try either hand and see which you like the best. As Gary
mentioned, just be sure you use a mirror image -- so the thumb sends dots on
either hand.

See you on the air.
