Started on 40m until the Big Boys showed up; then went to 20m until it
dried up. Then back to 40m, with occasional checks on 80m (was too
early), then back and forth between 40m and 20m. Nice to have a quiet
40m band for a change. Practically no QRM from RTTY stns either!
Yaesu FT-897 transceiver operated at 5 watts into a 5-MHz OCF 28-gauge
insulated wire stealth antenna up 40 feet in heavy foliage trees next to
I-75 in downtown Atlanta industrial area. SGC SG-237 Smartuner. WriteLog
