Subject: [SECC] Tower for sale
This is the last tower remaining at K4JA. Paul asked me to post it her
- which I am doing as a favor. I have no financial interest in this.
I helped take this tower down and did some analysis on the stacked 47
foot boom full sized 40 meter yagis that were on it. It handled those
big antennas with ease. I suspect Paul is underrating it - I would put
it closer to Rohn 85. The 25 inch face and custom made cross members
are the finest tower construction I have seen in 44 years of HR. The
guy brackets are the rotating ring type. The rotor sits at the bottom
and the tower is rotated. This could easily be changed to a
non-rotating installation if desired and the tower could be changed to
two 100 foot towers.
I would buy it myself if I lived anywhere beside this postage stamp lot.

200' Rotating Tower
200' of Heavy Duty AB-105, actually just the legs are HD AB-105. All the
rest was custom fabricated in 2004. It is 25" on a face and all but the
legs were new in 2004. The bolts are 1/2" with 7/8" oversized heads,
Grade 5 they are like new.
Weighs about 175 lbs per 10' I would rate this with Rohn 65. 4 Custom
built guy rings, and rotator. Real HD Rotator with TIC digital control
box.
This is by far the nicest I have ever owned. I have most of the parts to
make this into two 100' towers.
I took this down in one piece with a crane.
New 3/8" 15,000 break strength, Polygon glass guy rod, 3/4" turnbuckles.
4 Custom built guy rings.
Almost everything new and freshly galvanized currently stored indoors
