For contests, all I use now is the keying capability built in to TR-
log...there are advantages to using it over an external keyer in
contests, such as it tracking the speed of automatic keying, and the
ability to stop the memory from sending just by grabbing the paddles.
For non-contest use, I use a CMOS Super II keyer...don't know if you
can still get those or not (I built mine, but it was available
commercially for a while).
