Seems we could have had a very good SECC team if we could get stations
inside the club circle to join or rejoin and get up teams. It was this
time last year that a misunderstanding and computer problems caused this
to fall off the tracks. I hope this will be repaired at some time in
the future.

This week will have the NAQCC 80/40 M Slow Speed QRP CW Sprint tonight
0030 to 0230Z and the Thursday NCCC Sprint tomorrow night 0230-0300Z.

This weekend we will have the Great Lakes Sweepstakes and the Six Club
Contest.

Great Lakes Sweepstakes is the 48 hours UTC of Saturday and Sunday. We
can work only "Great Lakes" stations: MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, OH, PA, NY,
Ontario. Exchange: Name and SPC. Great Lakes: Name and SPC and Island
or Lighthouse Number. (counties are not necessary and are not
multipliers) Work stations once per band and once per mode (voice and
digital including CW, PSK, RTTY). Suggested frequencies: Up 50 on CW
and 3890, 7230, 14290, 21350, 28430. Apparently QSOs may be made on 80,
40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2M. Bonus points for each different great lakes
island or lighthouse worked per band and mode and also a one time bonus
for a QSO with W8DXI. http://mdxa1.org/GLSWEEPSRULES.html.

The Six Club contest is 18Z Sat to 21Z Sun. This time was pretty good
for the CQ VHF Contest on 6M last weekend, so it would pay to monitor 6
again this weekend. Exchange 4 character grid square plus 6M Club # if
you have one. Log and Summary Sheets may be downloaded from the
website. Note that the summary sheet doesn't seem to account for extra
points for QSOs between club members and PSK DX QSOs. All modes on 6M
may be used. http://www.6mt.com/contest.htm.

Hope everyone has a nice week and a lot of QSOs. I have just received
over 750 QSL cards from my W/K/N4 QSL Bureau sorter, W4BUW, so I am
having fun off the air answering them.

73,

John, K4BAI.
