Yes...but I needed +13 db to do it, Jim. ;)
I tried to be fair to my QRP buddies by using a Hustler mobile antenna on
40/20/15 meters, a 50-ft sloper random wire on 80 and 10 meters tuned with a
Ten-Tec 238 L-Network transmatch and a 67-ft counterpoise that was the xmsn line
to the Hustler mobile antenna (50 feet of RG-6 plus that tiny RG-174 type coax,
about 17 feet long, that comes with the Diamond hatchback-type antenna mount).
My new QTH's noise level is S6-S7, an improvement from the apartment's S8-S9.
