competition.

Exchange: SPC or NC County. NY4N and others plan to be mobile in this one.
10. Straight Key Century Club Weekday Sprint. Tuesday night local,
01-03Z Wed. 160-10M CW. Use hand key or bug. Exchange: Name + SPC +
SKCC member # or power.
SECC members who are also SEDXC members should remember that points in
the CSQ 160 SSB Contest go toward the "Southeastern DX Club" club
aggregate score to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of SEDXC.
I plan to be QRV in Thursday's activities and part time in the 160 SSB
Contest. It would be great to work VP6DX on 160M SSB. I actually have
only a few countries confirmed on SSB on top band. I will probably be
part time in the UBA contest, which can be fun, and there is often a lot
of activity from Europe. Also part-time in the state QSO parties. I
think I need only one county in NC, but quite a number in MS. I should
be home from church (since we generally go to the early service) in time
for some HSC club QSOs, but the power limit of 150 watts means that the
membership, which is primarily in Europe, often doesn't hear the
overseas members calling. I think the power limit is counterproductive
in that regard, but there aren't enough overseas members to cause that
much concern. I will miss next week's SKCC Sprint due to holding court
in Valdosta Tuesday and Wednesday, so hope someone else in GA and SC
will get out a hand key and hand out GA and SC mults. K4ZGB usually
represents AL well, but would probably welcome some competition so he
could get AL multipliers.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend and a lot of QSOs.
73,
John, K4BAI.
