This has got to quick. Thanks for the many QSOs with 6Y1V and
6Y5/K4BAI. Had a wonderful time in Jamaica and many thanks to KY1V.

My secretary for over 25 years passed away the night before I left and I
spent yesterday in Augusta for her funeral. I am leaving in a few hours
for Valdosta and court tomorrow. On Sunday, I am flying to Washington,
DC for a Chief Bankuptcy Judges' Meeting until Tuesday evening. Of
course, everything is behind and I am desparately trying to catch up.

AA4LR 464 269 251,784 SOAB(TS)LP 15 GA

I hope I didn't miss anybody. Others were active, but I haven't seen
posted scores from them. Everyone who did not submit in the (TS)
(tribander, single element) category might consider if their log should
be submitted as such. If you had no monobander antennas and no multi
element antennas for the lower bands, you probably qualify for the (TS)
category and not everyone who is probably eligible for that category
claimed it in the 3830 or reflector reports.

2. NCCC NS Sprint Practice, 5/23
K1ZZI 34 18 646 SOLP 0.5 GA
6Y5/K4BAI 4 3 12 SOLP 0.5 6Y

3. MiQRP Club Memorial Day Sprint
K4BAI 9 7 182 QRP5W 0:39 GA
More activity in this one than lately. Fun Sprints on some holidays.
My time was limited.

4. Straight Key Century Club Weekday Sprint 5/27/08
K4BAI 48 27 2,561 SOHP 1:37 GA

I was also QRV for the whole 2.0 hours in the NAQCC Hand Key Sprint from
6Y5/K4BAI last Wednesday night. 5W QRP. Think I made 56 QSOs. But,
have not received the logs for Jamaica from 6Y1V/KY1V, so can't figure
the score yet.

Surely someone (W4QO, WA8REI ?) was QRV in the QRPARCI contest Sunday
night. They need to standardize the time for that one and not have it
depend on local time. Otherwise, people can't work each other when
they are both in the Sprint. Don't understand why QRPARCI can't
comprehend that, which I have pointed out to them.

This weekend is a "split" weekend, with Saturday in May and Sunday in
June, so there aren't too many contests.

1. NS and SNS Thursday night local, 0230-0300Z Thursday. SNS is 40 and
20. NS is 160 through 20. All CW, LP, 100W maximum. Exchange: both
calls, #, name, SPC. 2 kHz QSY rule. Dupes OK after band change or one
intervening QSO. I will be QRV this Thursday if I get back from
Valdosta in time and expect more than 4 QSOs in this fun mid week
activity. Limit speed in the SNS, 0200-0215Z Friday to 22 WPM.

2. Kid's Roundup. 14Z Sat to 20Z Sunday. Phone, 80M to 432 mHz.
Exchange: SPC, Category, Name. This is a new one on me, so don't know
how much activity there will be. Like the exchange better than the
"favorite color" exchange in the Kid's Day Contest.

3. First Class CW Operators Club Bill Windle QSO Party. This one is
open to all, not just to FOC members. 24 hours of Saturday UTC. 015 to
040 kHz on HF contest bands. Minimum exchage is RST, name, and FOC
number. Non-members send RST and name. Longer QSOs are encouraged.
Reports to kz5d at aol.com within one week. Report should be only in the
following format: Call, 125/97, indicating total QSOs / FOC member
QSOs. Nonmembers work only FOC members for credit, so they would report
only the total number of QSOs. QSO each station once per band. This
can be good practice and fun. Get to meet some new CW ops. Prospective
members may possibly receive invitations from stations they work in the
BWQPs, which are held twice a year (also in October).

Hope everyone has a good week and weekend. I hope to get back to normal
schedule by this time next week or a little later.

I will have e-mail with me on my travels, so please continue to post
your reports and I'll gather them.

73,

John, K4BAI.
