Don't miss the NA RTTY Sprint this Saturday, NA time (00-04Z, Sunday, 10
October)! Besides being a lot of fun and only taking 4 hours out of the
weekend, the Sprint format really helps improve operating skill. If you're
new to RTTY Sprinting or intimidating by the format, just find a clear
frequency and CQ. You'll be a hot commodity and after you feel comfortable
with the format, then you can try calling other CQing stations. After a
band has been worked for 30 minutes or so, all the big guns will be dying
for a QSO with you.
Remember the team competition with 10 Single-Ops per team. That's a fun way
to get your club or buddies (across the country is OK) to participate and
have a good time. Rules at http://www.ncjweb.com/sprintrules.php and team
registration at http://www.ncjweb.com/rttysprintteamreg.php.
CU all in the RTTY sub-bands this Saturday.
