Greg,
I have had that happen twice....?? on a 1000mp.
Last time, I replaced the IC with a Max232 device... but the foil vias?around
that area are getting pretty ratty.

A long time ago, I read somewhere that this was a problem with this series
Yaesu.
?
The rig has been OK after the last fix.?
Good luck...
Mike

I have discovered the root cause of my Rig/PC issues in the NAQP.? It appears
my RS232 CAT connection on the Mark V blew out.? UGH!? Perhaps some RF in the
shack.? I don't even own an amplifier and I was running 100W, but that seems to
be the only conclusion I can come to as the root cause (unless the rig is just
getting old like the rest of us.? :)? )

The good news is the radio still works great.?
