I've only known Dan for a short time; myself and another Barrow Amateur Radio
Club member, the current president, Mike, W4WYI were lucky enough to assist in
some antenna work over at Dan's this past spring.? There was a great turnout,
by SEDXC members, and others, think there were about 8 or 9 of us.
?
Had the pleasure of visiting his shack afterwards, was pretty awesome.

This is very sad news.? Dan was a true gentleman.? I remember when I was first
licensed and?chatting wit him on the repeaters during drive time.? He always
had some good advice and direction for a "rookie".
Also, he did consulting work?in our building at Cox Enterprises in the early
2000s and we would get together for lunch in the company cafeteria occasionally
- quite refreshing to discuss DX, antennas, etc. versus the regular business
chatter.? He will be missed.
