Today I received a very nice certificate reading "First Place Georgia
Section Single Operator Low Power" for 2011 CW November Sweepstakes.
I can only assume that all of the other SOLP Georgia operators either
decided to fitz around with Unlimited class last year, or their
computers crashed before they could send in their logs.
Nevertheless, not bad for only 14 hours of operating time, decidedly
mediocre antennas, with a bad noise problem to boot. Makes me look
forward to operating this year without the noise. I've been thinking
about putting up a 10 meter half-square - maybe I'll manage to get
that up before November.
