Comments:

In DXing mode...trying to work on QRP 5BDXCC before the higher bands go
away....forever! Ended up with 30 new band countries and one new one for
the
QRP DXCC total, so not bad.

Took some time and built a new antenna for 10 and 15 on Saturday. It's a
trapped EFHW - it
really helped a lot on some paths on 10m. It wasn't much of a band opener
compared to the 80m doublet, but after the band settled in, it generally
beat
the doublet to EU. SA was mostly a draw. Didn't use it much on 15 - the
40m
GP worked well compared to the doublet for some paths on 15.

I don't really know how condx compared to last year - I spent about six
hours
less on the air and my mults were up a couple, but QSOs and score down
slightly. If guessing, I'd say condx were better last year, but not
sure...it
will be interesting to see what others say. I did feel louder a lot, but I
think that was the new antennas, simple though they may be.

Rig was KX3 at 5 watts to 80m doublet at 45', 40m ground plane fed at 12',
and
10/15/30 EFHW fed at 10'.

See you in WPX!
