It would be nice if we could get up a team from SECC/ACG with perhaps
others for NA Sprint RTTY which is two weekends off. I'd be glad to
register the team if there is interest in having one. See message below
about two practice sessions being organized by NCCC. 73, John, K4BAI.

Subject: [NCCC] RTTY NCCC Sprints on Thursday (in NA)
To:nccc at contesting.com
With NA Sprint RTTY approaching on March 9, let's get ready for that
with two events on the next two Thursdays, one hour before the CW NS:
0130 to 0200Z, MARCH 1 and 8; Thursday nights in NA.
Here's a chance for experienced sprinters on cw to learn a new mode,
and for RTTY contesters to learn the sprint format. Also a chance
to try out the newly popular 2Tone decoder.
There are two main differences between the NCCC Sprints and NA Sprint:
In NS, power is limited to 100w, and mults count on all bands.
For these upcoming practices, use 80, 40, 20m; up 80+ Khz. from the bottom
of the band.
You need two different messages in sprint, one when acquiring a frequency,
N6TR 245 KEN CA N6RO;
in a different order when vacating, N8EA N6RO 246 KEN CA.
NS rules
at:http://www.ncccsprint.com/**rules.html<http://www.ncccsprint.com/rules.html>
These apply for the RTTY practice sprints.
I expect there will be a practice on Friday night before NA Sprint RTTY,
using the real Sprint rules.
But don't wait till the last minute to get your station/computer/messages
set up.
Thursday Night Diddler, N6RO
