Hello SECC:
This coming weekend, the annual Georgia QSO Party will be take place,
sponsored by SECC and SEDXC. Georgia has the second (to TX) largest
number of counties of all the US states, 159 counties. Most of the state
is relatively flat and the counties are relatively small. This leads to
a lot of excitement for all, especially for the many mobiles who will be
running from county to county. Last year, all but one GA county had
reported QSOs and we expect to activate all counties this year. No one
has worked all GA counties in one contest weekend yet, but this could be
the year.
All details can be found at www.georgiaqsoparty.org. The contest runs
for ten hours on Saturday and ten hours on Sunday (EDT). We hope many
of you will participate. There are certificates and plaques available
to be awarded at three power levels (QRP, LP, HP) and for CW, SSB, and
Mixed Modes. Also there are club competition awards.
Please join us this weekend, April 13 and 14.
73, John, K4BAI.
