This Week's Contests:

calls, #, name, SPC.

2. International Police Association Amateur Radio Club Contests. CW on
Saturday. SSB on Sunday. 06-10Z; 14-18Z each day. 80-10M. Exchange:
For IPA members: RST + serial # + US State (if in US). Non members:
RST + serial #. Same rules, different modes on different days. CW on
Sat. SSB on Sun.

3. Ukrainian DX Contest. 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 160-10M CW, SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + serial # or 2 letter oblast abbreviation for UKR
stations.

4. Himalayian Contest (India). 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 80-10M CW, SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + power for non VU stations and RS(T) + VU state for VU
stations.

5. High Speed Club (HSC) CW Contest. 09-11Z and 15-17Z Sun. 80-10M
CW. Exchange: RST + HDC # or "NM" for non members.

6. DARC (Germany) 10 Meter Digital Contest. 10M RTTY, Amtor, Clover,
PSK31, Pactor. Exchange: RST + Serial #.

7. ARRL SS CW Contest. 160-10M CW. 21Z Sat to 03Z Sun. (Remember
that the local time changes on Sunday morning). Exchange: serial #,
precedence (Q, A, B, U, M, or S), call, 2 digit year first licensed,
ARRL/RAC section. Example: #1 B K4BAI 54 GA. Q = QRP. A = LP. B +
HP. U + unlimited (may use packet spots). M + multi ops (may also use
packet spots). S + school club. I recommend that slower ops call CQ SS
at their preferred speed and work those who answer them and also do some
search and pouncing, but don't be discouraged if many of the loud
stations are sending fast. Set your own pace. Don't be afraid to ask
for repeats or to say QRS. Operate as much as you can and have fun.

8. Adventure Radio Society Spartan Sprint. 02-04Z Tuesday (Monday
night local). 80-10M CW. 5W maximum power. Exchange: RST + SPC + Power.

Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. Hope to
work you all in SS CW. Remember that SS has a club aggregate score
competition so be sure to include your club in the header of your
Cabrillo log. Show the names exactly as follows (no abbreviations):
"Alabama Contest Group," Georgia Contest Group," "South East Contest
Club." As usual (other than for DXpeditions in DX Contests), to submit
points for a club, you must be a member of the club and live inside and
operate inside the club circles. I think you all know whether or not
you do, but the circles appear on each club home page. Of course, GCG
has elected the ARRL section of GA for use in ARRL contests rather than
any circle, so GA stations who are members may submit for that club
without regard of a circle requirement. GCG does have a club circle for
CQ contest purposes.

73, John, K4BAI.
