Comments:
FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, inverted vee. 20M seemed dead at 0221Z. Not a
single signal on the CW band. But, I called a few CQs and W1NN came back 599.
We were both amazed. Then K7SS, N3ZZ, and K6VVA called in. I heard N6ZFO
warming up. The sprint started and I was able to work very loud W1NN and KW8N
plus N8EA and N3ZZ from CA. Other CA signals dropped out rapidly and a QSY to
40 was required. I did fairly well on 40 and 80, but felt weak, missing many
jump balls. Signals from the west coast on both 40 and 80 were not as strong
as they have been for the past few months. Didn't try 160. Thanks for all
QSOs. 73, John, K4BAI.
