All members should use no more than 100W. AA4GA will be QRP. Also, do
not use cluster or packet or other types of assistance from outside your
own station and your own operation. SCP and other pre-fills are OK to
confirm what you hear, but be sure to log what you hear if there is any
difference.

Note that we have two brothers on SECC#2, NJ8J and AA4LR. Have fun and
operate as much as you can. Post your scores to 3830 by Sunday or
Monday at the latest or send them to me directly. There is a short
deadline for submission of logs to NCJ, so don't put off doing that either.

Thanks for playing in the NAQP with SECC. The more teams there are, the
more activity there will be, and the more fun everyone can have. Hope
for good conditions. Be sure to check the marginal bands.

I usually start on the highest open band. If 10 is open to anywhere, I
start there. Then go down to 15. Run mainly on 20M during the day.
Try to be on 10 at the top of each hour and on 15 at the half way point
of each hour. Then move down to 40 to run in the late afternoon and
check back on 10 and 20 at the top of the hour and 15 at the bottom. 80
and 160 after dark. Don't hesitate to ask someone who calls you to QSY
to another band where you need their mult. Choose a QSY frequency that
is likely to be fairly clear, but not too far from the main activity.
Probably best to make it in the General Class band unless you know
someone has an Extra. Probably not productive to ask someone who is
calling CQ to QSY to another band unless you know him well or maybe if
you are a member of the same team or club. Be open to requests to QSY
to another band even if you think the other band isn't open. You may be
surprised. Sometimes it is possible to QSY to all bands and make QSOs
even in the last hour of the contest (1 to 2 AM EDT).

Remember to take off times in periods of in excess of 30 minutes. If
your last QSO is at 0000Z, don't make the next one until 0031Z. If you
make it at 0030Z, you will have taken off only 29 minutes and the robot
won't allow that 29 minutes as off time.

Most of all, have fun. 73, John, K4BAI.
