Hello again...
I made a phone call to the "father" of the Maidenhead system (SM5AGM)
and asked him about how many and which letter combinations there are
in the first two positions.
The answer is: A total of 324.
The possible combinations are: AA-AR, BA-BR, CA-CR, DA-DR, EA-ER,
FA-FR, GA-GR, HA-HR, IA-IR, JA-JR, KA-KR, LA-LR, MA-MR, NA-NR, OA-OR,
PA-PR, QA-QR and RA-RR. That makes 18x18 = 324.
So, my domestic file don't need to be as big as it was from the
beginning :-)
