There is not really anyway do do this if you
are using the shift keys to tune the RIT.
You can disable the shift keys if you want - there is
a command in the CONTROL-J menu for doing that.
This command was added for folks that wanted to
have a radio interfaced but did not want the
shift keys to tune it.
