Has anyone tried the simulator as a sort of benchmark for both the
program and the computer?
I tired it on CQ WW CW and it was doing 589 / hour on a 150Mhz Intel
Pentium PC in DOS 7. THe system has 32 megs of RAM but that should not
mean anything in DOS.
I ran for 8 or 9 hours and it was very consistent at the speed. A 5
minute test in a Win95 DOS window showed that it was perhaps 40 per hour
slower that way, not very significant. The code speed was set to 99.
That IS very important for most speed.
