Allan:
Make sure you are using a standard serial cable and not a null modem
cable (with pin 2 connected to pin 3 and vice versa) - some early
editions of the Omni-VI manual indicated, incorrectly, that pin 2 should
be wired to pin 3 and vice versa for computer rig control. It should be
straight serial port, pin 2 to pin 2 and pin 3 to pin 3.
If this is not the solution, give me a call at work during the week at
(800) 833-7373 and I'll look up some of my documentation I have
stashed there to get the radio and TR chatting to each other.
