I installed a small push button switch for the PC speaker
on one of those blank panels that are made for covering
unpopulated card slots openings on PC backplanes. This allows
me to turn off the PC speaker if I am in a multi-op situation
where people might be bothered by the higher noise level.
I am also wired to the soundcard.
