If you have a shell account at your ISP, you can go to the packet window and
dial-up your ISP and by using telnet you can connect to your favorite
cluster. Once you connect to the ISP and telnet to the cluster, TR does not
care where you get spot as long as it comes across in the right format which
it does.

So...

Packet Window (CTRL-B)
ATDT555-1212 (Your ISP number)
prompt: (userid)
password: (password)
>
telnet your.favoritecluster.com
<login to the cluster>

That;s it. You can make your changes based on your script.

Remember, this is all predicated upon the fact that your ISP allows shell
access. Sometimes you need to get through a menu or enter 'shell' at the
first prompt. Ask around at your ISP and someone should be able to tell you
how to get into their system.

Good Luck,

Tom NY4I

PS Be sure that the PACKET PORT = <MODEM COM port>!
