I want to thank the many who helped me fix my computer problem, including 
KK1L, N7UX, K6LL, N4ZR, K1KY, K8DO and Gilbert Barron.

The computer for some reason did not like the PCI board I had installed.  I 
went back to an ISA board and the thing "cranked right up."
