There *is* another option. Partition Magic is an extremely reliable and
relatively inexpensive utility that will let you set up multiple partitions
on a single hard drive with mutiple operating systems, independent of the
operating systems' dual-boot kludges. Hence you could have XP, ME and DOS
6.22 (a tiny partition) all on a single drive, and have the system autoboot
to whichever one you want to be the default, or to either of the others on
demand. You can also resize partitions without any effect on the data in
them, a facility which NT through 4.0 never afforded. I used it for years
on a variety of Win 3.1, Win 95, Win 98 and NT systems and never had a
problem.
