Guy's suggestion for improving the bandmap sound very solid from a practical
standpoint, but certainly adds fuel to the "assisted" debate.  I would think
this sort of thing could be identified by sophisticated log-checking
hardware to detect, given access to the packet spots history.  If it could
be detected, perhaps it could be remedied by the sponsor without an innocent
CQing station taking the rap for a packet user who is in such a hurry he
can't bother to copy the callsign of the station he actually worked.

Anyone reading this who is familiar with sophisticated log-checking software
care to comment?

Not to wreck a really good argument for why packet is bad, but could it be
possible both stations really were on the same frequency and in fact the JAs
were working the other guy?  This could be ruled out by checking the other
station's log, correct?
