Finally got the W1WEF interface working !  Seems that I had to go into computer
setup menu and change LPT from Centronics to bi-directional.  This is what
happens when we're not as computer literate as we should be.

A very special thanks to W1WEF (who double checked his interface & shipped it
back), K5TR,
K9MI, AI9X and ES5QX. All these fine folks attempted to help me solve the
problems.
