That makes sense. After SS, I'll see if there is a command which
can be sent to the PK-232 to tell it to "STOP TX'ing immediately."
Perhaps there is a way for Esc to send this command when in RTTY mode.
I'm fairly certain that WF1B RTTY is able to abort a message once
it has started, so there must be a way to do it. Hopefully it's
not a matter of DUMB vs. HOST mode (or whatever they call it)
as that would probably dictate a more complicated solution.
I think that being able to abort a message in mid-stream quickly
is an important feature for RTTY contesting, so hopefully we can
find a solution. Thanks for the info.
