[TRLog] NAQP Experiences - Omni VI+ & TRLog 6.72

Hi, John.

Thanks for the info.

I tried your setup and it seemed to work...then started messing up.

One of the early tries to use the more current versions (6.71 and 6.72)
resulted in getting flukey band changes with Alt-V and Alt-B. When I hit
Alt-V/B, the TRLog band might change, but the radio wouldn't. Or the radio
might change, but the TRLog band indicator would only bounce to the new band
and then back, displaying the orignal band frequency.

When I tried your settings, it all seemed to work. The frequency update was
smooth as you said. The alt-v/alt-b band changes were working properly
(radio tracking TRLog; TRLog tracking the radio).

Then, the old alt-v/b sporadic band switching started happening.

My radios are an Omni VI (Upgraded to Plus version3) and an Omni VI (no
upgrade). Both work excellent on version 6.69 -- used it during NAQP and it
worked flawlessly, as it did during ARRL SS and ARRL 10m.

My PC is a P100 running Win98se. I restart the computer in DOS when using
TRLog--although I use it it a DOS window in W98 when using it as a general
logger and it works fine.

By the way, when I loaded 6.72 and ran TRLog with your configs in a DOS
window, the keyboard was locked. I then restarted in DOS and ran it and it
worked..until the flukey stuff started happening.

73,
dale, kg5u
