The difference in paddle wiring is not necessarily backwards, Icom and
Yaesu are backwards to each other and I am sure that the other radio
manufacturers are probably not all the same either. Apparently there is no
standard for dot/dash connections on paddles.
Some of us locally have added a small DPDT switch to the Benchers for quick
change to either standard. One guy uese slip on connectors under tha
paddles for quick change. Also KL7RA suggests SWAP PADDLES = TRUE which
should also work.
